Last November I found myself staring at pick 304 in a 16-team fresh dynasty draft. Nowhere near no-man’s land, but at a point in the draft where I wanted to grab some upside instead of going chalk with yet, another value pick. As an aside, my team is a likely 2018 contender with an average player age of about 27. As I stared into the abyss better known as the Fantrax player pool, I found myself remembering a name that had been uttered by a few league mates much earlier in the draft. Fantasy Outlook: Pittsburgh Pirate Hitters

FantasyAid Comments are off

Projected lineup:

  1. Starling Marte
  2. Josh Harrison
  3. Andrew Mccutchen
  4. Josh Bell
  5. Gregory Polanco
  6. David Freese
  7. Francisco Cervelli
  8. Jordy Mercer

Going into his age 29 season,

The A’s have been locked in mediocrity for some time, they seem to trade any player with value, (I.E. Josh Donaldson, Ryon Healy), even when they are not close to free agency. That being said is there anything that can be salvaged fantasy wise in a desolate lineup in a terrible ballpark? Matt Joyce certainly isn’t helping the A’s case. While Joyce did hit 25 home runs last year, in a league where home runs aren’t as valuable as they once were, Joyce was little more than waiver wire fodder
